May is Brain Cancer Awareness Month.....

Help raise awareness for Brain Cancer. Its May so its Brain Cancer Awareness month... All bracelets made here are handmade and the proceeds minus shipping will be donated to Brain cancer research....

I first started making awareness bracelets when my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma
Multiforme  Brain Cancer in April 2010. I sent her the money I raised from the bracelets so she could use it for gas to get to her chemo and radiation treatments. She passed away in March 2011. Not a day goes by when I don't miss my mom. I have too many friends who have lost a parent to Brain Cancer or some sort of cancer.

This May I want to raise $200 and donate all of it to Brain Cancer Research. Its a horrible disease to the person who lives with it and their friends and family.

Here are the new bracelets I made. I have a few left from the last batch that I will post soon... until the you can check them out on my facebook fan page HERE

Birthday Beads reveal

I posted about winning some pretty beads from Bead Swap USA earlier in the week....

They went from this .....

To this .....

OMG! Thank you Nicole :)

800 fan giveway

I've noticed that my fan count has been lingering in the 740s .. its time to up it to 800 :)
I need to use Twitter more... so here is how this lil contest will go

For Twitter people... mention @ErinsCreations you get 1 point
use #ErinsJewelryCreations and get 2 points ( i hope it works)
what you add before and after that is up to you.. be creative ( and respectful )
you can tweet daily if you like ...

For non twitter people ( yes you can play too I guess..lol)
for 1 point, like, or comment  on my recent statuses
for 2 points... share my page and or pics on your business or personal pages.....

and everyone gets 3 points when they refer a new liker ( tag me in a post so I can see it ).... but they must tell me who sent them...
since I don't know everyone with a business page, if you see that someone mentioned your bizz page please like the comment using your personal page... You the person will get the points not your business.

Ok so why the points.... why for the awesome prize silly :) I haven't thought of anything yet( or have I ..hehe ) but it might take a few weeks to get to 800. I am hoping for the end of April :) Wishful thinking...lol

BTW... HAVE FUN!! :) <3

Look what I won !!

BEADS!!!
Ever hear of the Bead Swap USA facebook group? They are traveling boxes of beads and other goodies. I just received my first box this past week. Gemstones!! I wanted to keep them ALL.... but I couldn't... I took what I NEEDED and added some more and sent it off to the next person.

Nicole also created a website for the boxes... to win these beads you had to be a registered member.... well I registered before I knew about the beads :)
I was hoping all afternoon that I would be the winner... and I was!! I can't believe it.. I haven't won anything in months...
My birthday is on Monday so this will be an awesome birthday present :)

Aren't they pretty?!

Diary post.....

Dear Beading God

I promise that tomorrow I will organize my bead stash and make some new jewelry....

Maybe I will just make new jewelry.... its more fun :) I dread sorting out those little containers of misfit beads ....
All those tiny beads just waiting to get lost in my rug or get eaten by my cat. I don't see the fascination with bead eating, but to each their own i guess.
My main problem is what to so with all those before stated misfit beads.... future bracelet? hmmm could be, could be.... we shall see.................................................................

Bead Soup Blog Party is HERE!!!

Welcome Bead Soupers!
I'm Erin :)
This is my second ( and defiantly not my last) bead soup party.

First I want yo introduce you to my beady partner Jean A. Wells. Her etsy shop is full of amazing goodies. Jean's jewelry is colorful and unique. I am so glad we were pair up!

Here are the beads Jean sent me...

I had the beads for a month and I started and finished making the pieces on the 28th of Feb. lol When I looked at the beads I had no idea what to make with them. I didn't think any of my beads would look good with the ones Jean sent me. Thank the bead God I was wrong :)

I made a necklace, a bracelet and a pair of earrings....

Click on the photo to view larger.

the chain came from the leftovers I had from the last
bead soup.

Those green stone beads came from my stash.

I love how the BRACELET came out.

Now check out everyone else.... I will be :)

New Feature Coming Soon...

I have made so much jewelry in the past few years that hasn't sold that I thought about re vamping it . I guess I am the only one who likes the jewelry I make..:( although some pieces I can't believe I actually put up for sale. They are just so bad..lol
The other day I had this amazing idea! lol Instead of just taking the jewelry apart and re using the beads to make something else, I thought I would redesign the pieces I like so other people will like ( and buy ) them... that is the reason why I became a jewelry designer :)

First up is this bracelet....
This is before.. after will be coming soon !

Any ideas on what i should do to it?

Its almost here!!!

The Bead Soup Blog party begins at midnight EST. So come on back to check out the 3 , yup 3, pieces I made.
Then check out everyone else:) We all worked hard and had a ton of fun. I cant wait til the next one!!

Bead Soup Update

I received my beads from Jean a few weeks ago. I LOVE them. Its a good thing we have until March 3rd because I am blocked. I don't know what to do with the beads. Last bead soup party I made a necklace and a pair of earrings. this time I want to make a necklace and a bracelet. Jean told me that the same day she got the beads I sent her she already made something with them.  I can't wait to see. Don't worry Lori, we are waiting til March :)

Here is what Jean sent me!

sooo pretty... Wish me luck :)
