BSBP: one week away

OMG . I did it again.... I have waited til the last minute to make my piece for the BSBP :(  I have no excuse , besides work. Crocheting hats takes alot of my time. when I get an order I try to get it out with in 3 days. And of course there are other projects I want to make.
I think too much when it comes to these bead soup reveals. everyone has their own style. like i said before, I am pretty simple.
Plan for today: After catching up on Veep, I WILL get down to business. Its a beautiful day so I can sit out on the porch and bead til I cry :)

Bead Soup Blog Party 8: My partner

At the beginning of the year I said I was done with making jewelry. I planned on closing my facebook page down, fix this blog up so its can be used as useful info and sell off all the pieces of jewelry I have made at really low prices.  Then I remembered about the bead soup blog party. This is my 4th time participating,  I knew I couldnt miss out. I love getting paired up and getting beads that I wouldn't usually buy, then stressing out about what the heck I am going to make with the beads. :)  Each time I leave creating any thing to the last minute. This time I have something drawn out.... I hope I can pull it all together. I'm a bit on the simple side when I create. This time I may go big :)

I am concentrating on my crochet business . Its more fun to play with yarn ( and not as expensive) to play with than beads :)

its so hard to say goodbye....

well this is sorta goodbye. i want to focus on two of my other small businesses. i will be selling off what i can at a local church's yard sale next month and auctions and i will be donating earrings to Ears to You. i will be adding pieces that are worth something on my etsy shop this week. they will stay there until sold or until the yard sale.
don't worry,like i said, this is sorta goodbye. i will still make custom orders and bracelets to raise money for brain cancer awareness and pieces for blog hops. i will add more feature me friday artists and gemstone series posts.

Its Bead Soup time again!!

My second favorite time of the year! ( my birthday is my first - 9th of April if anyone wants to know..lol )

Every time I participate in Lori's Bead Soup Blog Party I always get really nervous about what I will send my partner. I always get amazing beads and finding from my partner, I hope they feel almost as lucky :)
This being the 7th Bead Soup, I wouldn't  imagine a better partner ..Ingrid McCue . She is the designer behind Wrapped in Silver Creations . Her work is beautiful( from what I have seen), silly girl accidently broke her website and had to start over :(
Anyway... I am so happy I was paired up with you Ingrid!  I hope you like what I did with your beads.

Before & After : Round Black Pendent Necklace

Looking through all the jewelry I have made that has not found a new home,  

this piece stuck out the most. 

 I love the beads but maybe a necklace wasn't the way to go. 

And that piece of wire was a bit ugly.

So I took it apart and made .......

A bracelet :)

 I added some purple glass beads. 

Better ?

May is Brain Cancer Awareness Month.....

Help raise awareness for Brain Cancer. Its May so its Brain Cancer Awareness month... All bracelets made here are handmade and the proceeds minus shipping will be donated to Brain cancer research.... 

I first started making awareness bracelets when my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma 
Multiforme  Brain Cancer in April 2010. I sent her the money I raised from the bracelets so she could use it for gas to get to her chemo and radiation treatments. She passed away in March 2011. Not a day goes by when I don't miss my mom. I have too many friends who have lost a parent to Brain Cancer or some sort of cancer. 

This May I want to raise $200 and donate all of it to Brain Cancer Research. Its a horrible disease to the person who lives with it and their friends and family.
